CASPER FIGURE SKATING CLUB
THE COACHES
Christina Kostelc
Christina has been figure skating for fun since she was young. She started skating with Wind River Skate Club in Pinedale in 2013. Skating in Pinedale helped her fall in love with the sport and she competed regionally for several years. She moved to Casper in 2017 where she found a new home with the Casper Figure Skating Club. In addition to teaching group lessons, she began sharing her skills and experience by teaching private lessons. She mainly works with beginner and basic skills students from ages 3 years old and up, teaching them to skate safely and improve their technique. She enjoys working with all children, but especially teaching them how to ice skate and sharing her love for the sport with them.
Christina is currently accepting new private students from Snowplow Sam through Basic 6.

Avery Bandel
With over 20 years of coaching experience scattered across 5 different states and 3 time zones, Coach Avery has seen and done a bit of everything. She has been on all sides of skating as a competitor, coach, and even a judge. She has directed countless shows, been the Director of Learn to Skate for several clubs, and even run an intra-state competition series for a few years.
On a whim, she was convinced by a friend to enter an adult skating competition. Though she had been retired for 15 years, had no coach, and only 20 minutes of practice ice every week, she is a 3-time National Qualifier, 2-time National Medalist, and the 2015 Adult National Champion. Coach Avery loves to work with skaters of all ages and levels and strives to ensure her students love skating as much as she does.
Avery is currently accepting new private students.
